The AGROTAL is an internet enabled, medium scale, agriculture time based irrigation controller.

It is designed as a medium scale, entry level controller – Having several dedicated agriculture irrigation features (Such as group irrigation, three step fertilization and filter backflush) making it capable, but keeping it simple for people using automation for the first time.

The AGROTAL has AC and DC versions:

  • AC version – Can be powered directly from mains, using the internal 220V / 110V to 24V AC transformer.
  • DC version - Can be powered from a small solar panel and rechargeable battery

It is modular:

AC version – 12/18/24/30/36 outputs, 24V AC solenoids
DC version – 16/32 outputs, 12V DC latch solenoids

In order to suit many applications - the setup is flexible:

  • Main valve – Yes / No
  • Fertilizer injector – 0 / 1 / 2 / 3
  • Filters – No limit (36 on AC version, 32 on DC version)
  • Irrigation valves – No limit (36 on AC version, 32 on DC version)

Programing is done easily:

  • Using the big graphical LCD screen and keys.
  • Remotely via the internet using the SPOT. (AC version only)

Connection to the internet is done through a cellular modem. The AGROTAL has 4 irrigation programs to accommodate different irrigation protocols. It has an optional full filter backflush program.  

Additional important features:

  • Different backflush time per filter for sites with multiple filter types
  • Gradated opening for valve group – Opening and closing grouped valves with a delay to avoid water hammer.
  • Compatible with Data Industrial and Sea metrics Mag water meters.

Additional technologies:

  • Radio RTU:
    • AC version can use radio RTUs via the UNILINER
    • DC version can use radio RTUs directly, up to Generation 4.5
  • Single cable 2W RTU:
    • AC & DC versions can use single cable 2W RTUs via the UNILINER

The AGROTAL has four dedicated inputs:

  • Water meter – Flow monitoring only.
  • Pressure sensor – Automatic irrigation shutdown when there is over pressure.
  • DP sensor –Filter backflush according to DP value.
  • Start contact – Starting program 4 by sensor.
